# Dolfer

> Dolfer is a background-first file & directory organizer for the desktop. It runs quietly in the system tray and automatically tidies folders like Downloads, Photos, and project directories using simple "when X happens, do Y" rules — the way Hazel does on macOS, but cross-platform by design — it ships on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Dolfer is a paid desktop application (one-time purchase, no subscription) made by Agentizer, LLC. A headless background daemon watches your folders and applies your rules in real time; a lightweight desktop app is where you build, preview, and monitor those rules with a visual, Shortcuts-style builder. Every action is reversible (deletes go to a recoverable trash, moves can be undone), license checks happen offline, and the engine is designed for native speed.

A rule is: one or more watched folders + triggers (file created/modified/deleted/renamed, schedules, or system events like screenshots, login, drive insert, clipboard) + a condition tree (by name, contents, type, size, age, date, image dimensions, GPS, duplicate, in-use, and more) + an ordered chain of actions (move/copy/rename, delete to trash, extract zips, convert images, create hard/symbolic links, run scripts, tag, copy to clipboard, notify). Destinations support tokens like {name}, {ext}, {date}, {year}/{month}/{day}, and an auto-incrementing {seq}.

One-time purchase, no subscription. A license unlocks every feature on the number of computers in its tier; feature updates are included for the period shown, and the app keeps working afterward (renew anytime to keep getting new versions).

- Solo — $10 — 1 device, 1 year of updates.
- Duo — $16 — 2 devices, 1 year of updates (best value per device).
- Trio — $25 — 3 devices, 2 years of updates.

The same license works across platforms and seats can be moved between machines (deactivate a device to free its seat). A free 7-day trial unlocks full automation; a dry-run preview is always available so you can see exactly what a rule would do before committing.
